Alliance Medical Center was founded in 1971 by volunteers to offer health care resources for migrant farmworkers and their families. It now serves 11,000 to 12,000 patients annually, who make a little over 50,000 visits. About 85 percent are Latino, most speak only Spanish, and 90 percent live significantly under the poverty level. About 40 percent are uninsured and 40 percent are eligible for Medi-Cal, a state program for low-income patients.
They do business with integrity and rational thinking. Overall, it's an excellent place to work, with products that are winning in the marketplace.
Patients and coworkers are great.
managers provide no support when needed but micromanage and mess things up that are going well. very high turnover...employees quitting all the time. everyone is unhappy and it is easy to become burnt out because there is drama all the time, management included. people are always blaming each other for problems, target on everyone's back.
