We're active in a wide range of products across the US and we are also actively developing our international operations. Our trading combines the skills of our talented trading team with industry-leading software produced in-house by our development team. Today, our ambitions are still just as big as the day we started-this is just the beginning for Akuna. Akuna Capital was founded in the summer of 2011 with only five employees, but with ambitions big enough to choose an office large enough for a hundred. After only three years, we surpassed capacity in our original Chicago Loop office, and opened shop in a brand new space in Chicago's iconic "Big Red" CNA Building. The 360deg views of the lake and the city are breathtaking. Akuna also calls Cambridge, MA home, with an office located just outside the MIT campus. We opened our first international location in Shanghai, China in 2015, and are excited for more international expansion to come soon. Even though we've grown significantly from small (but determined) beginnings, we proudly retain the spirit of a smaller, entrepreneurial start-up.
