I had a great time at AEY. I definitely learned a lot about the kind of work ethic it takes to be successful. This is not your typical 9-5 job. I learned that if you want to succeed it is going to take putting in more work than what is asked. As far as the culture in the office, well it was definitely not what I was expecting. I got to know the team and quickly realized that everyone was on the same page and wanted to see each other succeed. I have never been a part of such a supportive environment and that was definitely something that stood out to me.
Well, the cons... I can't really say there are many. I think that coming out of school I was a bit thrown off by the amount of work and trust the management team had in me. I was given a lot of responsibility in the first few weeks. I'm glad that I was entrusted so fast but it was a bit stressful at the time. I quickly learned that they want to see how you handle responsibility and a tool to see where each person's skill level is at.
