  • Mixed emotions: love my job, can’t understand how to work with management Content & Digital Strategist

The titles published are leaders in their respective markets and offer multiplatform content distribution. Great brand recognition in the industries we serve. Depending on the manager, there is flexibility in work schedule. Many of us employees work remotely. It's an entrepreneurial vibe. Investing in digital engagement like a b2c media company would have.

Spread very thin across all departments. As company expands, management makes due with current workload and staff. CEO heads every department (including HR) in company which causes significant slowdowns in decisions. Instead of relying on mid-level managers to manage their appropriate department, he gets anxious and becomes incredibly involved late in the game. In the end, he will make all decisions. He says he has the best team, but seems to lack the trust in their knowledge. Years of service doesn’t seem to mean much. Not very loyal to employees. More of a “what can you do for me now?” culture. Shake ups happen and not always sure if they were needed or was it to send a clear message of who’s in charge. Don’t feel very secure on a daily basis. Work-life balance is lopsided.
