Paid internship with sick leave, a unicorn-finding in DC. Management staff are invested in the internship program, ie supervisors organize have midterm check-ins and once-in-a-quarter professional development event. Interns are surrounded by talented employees and amazing public speakers.
As with all nonprofits, funding availability influences management structure. High turnover with employees (not unusual to DC). However, this didn't really affect the overall quality of the internship.
