A&A Metro Transportation has been a family run business based in Bridgewater, MA for over 60 years. In 1952, Bill Arrighi was a recent World War II veteran in search of steady work when a friend recommended he start a cab company. Shortly thereafter, Bill borrowed a loaner car from a local dealership, and Bill's Taxi Service was born. In the following decades, Bill's Taxi turned into a family affair with the Arrighi's kitchen and parlor becoming the company's headquarters. Bill's wife Dot and their 5 children took turns answering phones at all hours of the day and night, recording pick-up requests on a piece of paper and leaving them under a rock in Bridgewater center for Bill to read when he was done with his day job. Employees of the company became additional members of the family, spending time and sharing meals in between runs. This is how Bill's Taxi continued to operate until 1988 when Bill's son Tom purchased the company. By 1991 Bill's Taxi Service had changed it's corporate name to A&A Metro transportation and opened up a new office and garage at their current location on Bedford St. in Bridgewater, MA. Since that move from the family home, A&A Metro's growth has been exponential; expanding from a small town cab company to a global transportation leader. All the while, the family atmosphere has remained the same. A&A Metro Transportation takes pride in its strong connection with the Massachusetts communities we serve and a commitment to providing quality, safe, and reliable customer transportation. When you travel with A&A Metro, you become part of that family and a piece of our storied 60+ year history. Through this dedication to providing world class, world wide service, A&A Metro has developed professional affiliations that include but aren't limited to the American Bus Association, Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau, United Motorcoach Association, National Limousine Association and more.
