About Company

Tracy Aviary is committed to supporting many important in-field conservation projects here in Utah, and in other parts of North, South, and Central America. This year, we are including our guests in these efforts by allowing you to help us decide where our conservation funds should go through our brand new "Quarters for Conservation" program. A percentage of every admission to Tracy Aviary, as well as every membership, is donated directly to our conservation fund: $1 from each admission $2.50 from each membership Each time you visit Tracy Aviary, you will be given a token - worth not one, but four quarters ($1) - for you to use at our Conservation Station (located in our entrance plaza) to "vote" for one of three ongoing conservation projects and help us decide how much funding each of those projects receives. Through your visit to Tracy Aviary, and your participation in this program, you can feel proud that you are directly helping to support the conservation of wild birds. Your tokens tell us which projects inspire you most and your vote counts - each and every time you visit! Together we can make a difference; when we help just one species of bird survive, we are helping all life, including our own. This year you can choose from the following three exciting projects: Help Restore the Sharp-tailed Grouse in Utah The birds that share our home are the ones we most affect through our day-to-day behavior. We can all have a positive effect on wild birds in Utah by making nature-friendly lifestyle choices that you can learn about in our Rare Bird exhibit. The sharp-tailed grouse is one native bird that needs our help. Its range has declined to less than 10% of what it was. By casting your vote for the sharp-tailed grouse you will be helping to support a conservation project through the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources. This project was launched in 2009 with an aim to reintroduce this beautiful bird to Antelope Island in the Great Salt Lake. Birds have been released for the past three springs and biologists continue to monitor their progress as well as protect the habitat that they need to survive.
