Affinio is a marketing intelligence platform that leverages the social graph to understand today's customers through their interests.
They do business with integrity and rational thinking. Overall, it's an excellent place to work, with products that are winning in the marketplace.
The cool thing about working at Affinio is that the company is poised to (and is already making strides in) creating and defining a whole new category for marketing strategy. It was amazing to see the impact the platform has on some of the world's biggest brands. It's such an exciting customer base to work with. On top of that, the team at Affinio is made up of super innovative, hard working folks who all share a passion for bringing something to the market that really changes the way its customers drive strategy for the better. It's an amazing product and mission to get behind and be a part of.
The company has grown heavily over the past few years and has been proactive in making innovative decisions for the business that keep it ahead of where the market is going. As a result of these forward-facing decisions, it requires the team to refocus on new initiatives and be adaptive and agile. Sometimes, as it does with many companies, that proactive stance results in some people who are unhappy, or some necessary growing pains. What's important is how the company deals with that and how it takes the approach getting the team to rally around a common goal. I was quite impressed with how the C-level team was able to succeed here and do what was right for the company. So as this isn't exactly a "con" I felt that it needed to be addressed especially based on some of the previous reviews. I've been in young companies for much of my career and know that growth sometimes results in uncertainty. In my eyes, that's what makes it exciting! One other thing to keep in mind. Affinio is great at hiring great talent, no matter what their geography is. That does result in the need to be comfortable working remotely or with people who are remote. Get used to lots of video conferences and Slack messages. Took some getting used to but it really ends up working very well for a dispersed group.
